Dr Karl Dauphinais, MD, MSS is a board certified, Yale trained primary care internal medicine physician in
Prior to medical school he worked an exercise physiologist assisting top endurance athletes and patients in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and bariatric medicine. He has coached hundreds of swimmers and triathletes and instructed several thousand fitness trainers and wellness professionals across the country.
He spent four years as the Vice President of Operations of the International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA), has served on their faculty since 1995 and co-authored the first editions of the Book on Personal Training, The Book on Sports Nutrition, and The Book on Group Fitness Instruction, textbooks used to instruct tens of thousands of fitness professionals for the IFPA.
Dr Dauphinais periodically coaches triathletes on a very limited basis separate from his medical practice.
Dr Dauphinais is in practice with ProHealth Physicians of Farmington at 21 South Rd near UCONN medical center. He is currently accepting new patients for both his primary care practice and on a consult basis for sports medicine related issues
