Has anyone tried these running shoes? I am so curious about these. Right now I wear Kinsei's with custom Orthotics, so the price of them (painful) are the
same as the Asics - I am loving the idea of a light weight shoe. The company has a 30 day love them of get your moeny back gaurantee. So I figured nothing to
loose right? Curious if anyone has had a pair of these and if so, did they wear out quicker than your other running shoes? Do you wear these for everything or
circulate them with other pairs?

I think Toby might be running in them this year. I'll check with him.

Jamie wears them. The Newton running shoes that is. My son used to wear fig newtons... on his face.

I wear them and I love them. I started using them this year. They take some getting used to in the first couple of weeks. Your calves certainly feel the strain
in the early goings but then adjust. Just keep your mileage low the first couple times out. I used them for training and in an IM recently. They do wear out
faster than most shoes (just short of two months for me) I've used. The price is pretty ridiculous but they def improved my running form and they're
super light.

Grab a Fig Newton. Ask somebody what you call it and answer, "Near Fig Newton." Then toss it while asking, "What you call it now? A Far Fig
Newton!" Yuck yuck yuck yuck!

Gary,
Did you wear the Newton racing flats or regular shoes? I like my Newtons but am leary about wearing them for Ironman. I ran a half marathon a few months ago in them, and was pretty sore afterwards. I'd prefer to use them because they are lighter and faster than my Asics. What is your experience at Ironman with these. Jamie |

Jamie,
I wore the regulars shoes and everything worked out fine. I didn't experience any soreness after the race that was outside typical IM post race pain for me anyway. Few blisters here and there, but nothing debilitating. They held up really well and were comfortable the entire race even in wet conditions. They drained pretty well too. I had also done a half in the same pair back in May so they were pretty well broken in. Best of luck at IMLP. Gary |

Not what I'm running in. Steve, you must be thinking of my Inov8 trail sneakers. Inov8 212 Talons. I love them, under 10 oz., low to the ground, and
built like sticky rubber cleats. Great for mud and rocks.
