What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage focuses on muscle systems relevant to a
particular sport. It involves different massage approaches with the intent of helping the athlete to recover more quickly after training for an
event, to prepare for an event by warming and loosening muscle tissue, and to perform more efficiently during the
event. Additional benefits include increased flexibility, injury prevention and enhanced healing should athletic injury
occur. Sports Massage is administered while the athlete is in comfortable clothing to allow for range of motion and stretching techniques.
