The New England Club Champrionships are on August 24, 2008 at the Cranberry Olympic Tri in Lakeville Mass. This is a great venue. You can drive there in the
a.m., or stay in a cheap nearby hotel the night before. This week, I let the race director know that HEAT trounced the competition at the CT Club Championship,
and we were going to do the same in the N.E. Championship. This race fills up fast, so sign up now so we can have a powerful showing this year. During sign
up, you will be asked which Club you will be racing for. Unlike last year, there are no local Connecticut races that are scheduled for the same weekend.
Below is the registration link.

This is my first posting / reply. I was pleased to see Gabe at the Shelton Olympic Tri and he acquainted me with the HEAT team. You have an impressive
group of triathletes and I was happy to join. I just signed up for the Cranberry Tri, so I will try and help the team win! I met Gabe last year via a
work-related effort and from what I saw at Shelton, it seems one will have to look hard to find something at which he does not excel. (based on the ribbing
done on the site, some folks are trying!)
Separately, I am heading to Lake Placid Friday morning to complete the Ironman USA race and look forward to seeing some HEAT folks there, both racing and observing. I will wear the team T-shirt proudly. I was last part of a team in the mid/later 1990's with Bob Gaudet, David Cordani, Kurt Bauer, Vance Dean and the late, great Dave Gworek (among others) known as the Cyclones. I believe Kathi Coeler was part of that group and is a member here. At any rate, it's great to be part of a group / team again. LD |

I will be there to enjoy the flat bike route and avoid the Cranberry Bogs. Remember that these events are part about speed, but mostly about getting critical
mass to the event. The large group at the CT championship helped everyone do better or just enjoy the day more. This is reportedly the fastest Olympic course
in NE and will be a piece of cake after Griskus, Healthnet and Litchfield. See you all there! Wolfgang, this time HEAT would like you on the winning team.

Can anyone post a course description of the bike and run?
I see from the race website that the swim is short at .8 mi. Thanks: Mark |

Course details/maps are available on their website. It shows the swim as .9, bike - 24.9, and a 10k.
Good thing I signed up last night (hopefully we get 1/2 pt for showing up). If you try to register now, it says SOLD OUT but you can get on a waiting list. Here's the list of HEATSTERS I saw posted on their site: Dean, Aubrey, Ray H., Gabe, Erica, Karen L., Raf, Diane S, Jamie, Kelly, Marisa, Kathy S. Dave D, and Mike T.

Vin,
I am registered..have been since Feb....I don't think there was an option to choose a club when I registered. I also saw Erica Dinner, Kelly Burns, Marisa Mascolo, Kathy Scotti, and Mark Flynn are registered. David

Thanks David - I updated the list.
On Active, there was a text box where you could enter your "multisport" club name. I sent the race director our full membership list so hopefully he will confirm. |

Vin,
There is a note on the Cranberry Participants page saying that the club's name needs to be added to our registration by Thursday. I noticed a few of us, myself included, don't have HEAT next to our names. I sent an email to Eric for myself, but I was wondering if the others should do the same, or will the membership list you sent be enough? Jamie, Diane, Mike, Erica, Marisa, and Karen were the others that are not showing the club name on the participants page. David |

I replied to Eric as well, so hopefully he will update my info as well (at least i'm following directions now).
Mike Yikes this is going to hurt. I'm still only 80 to 85 percent from R.I. 70.3, and this race is a week after Timberman 70.3. |
