This has got to be one of the easier numbers to remember. Dave, does your wife know about your goal to take on all the Athena's?

I hope that this is my finishing place. I'll be up for the ride on thurs. staying at the Adirondack Inn, my number is posted earlier. I'll be making
trips further north to my parents during the week, but would like to get down for a couple of leisurely swims, mostly to get water bottles for the bike course,
can't seem to part with the 30 in my kitchen.

I will be staying at my uncles on Beach Hill road, which is the 12 and 25.1 mile mark of the run (for reference).
My cell is 860-803-5367. I am seeing weather reports of T-storms all week (isolated and scattered, whatever that means) so biking and/or swimming will have to be on a "play-it-by-ear" basis. But as of right now, I am hoping for a 9 am swim on THR, then register, then a 3 pm ride of the run course (a maybe a few extra miles...nothing more than 16-18 miles for me). Fri----REST and shop at Ironman village--resist urge to spend all of my money on IMLP stuff--Hoping to see lots of Heatsters at around 5 near the tennis course by the swim start (?) Saturday--small swim, small jog probably starting at 7 am. |

We should be in Lake Placid early Thursday afternoon. I'll try to make it out for the bike ride if I can. See everyone up there. John

Is there anyone planning on driving up to Lake Placid on Sunday Morning? Due to family obligations I cannot go up on Saturday and would like to got up to
watch. The earliest I would be able to leave would be midnight. I'm willing to share the driving and cost for gas.

Due to family obligations (yes even in Lake Placid on Ironman week!) I will not be able to make a thr afternoon ride (will be doing it after the swim on thr
morning). However, I am still planning on hanging around the tennis courts near the swim start on Friday afternoon/evening at around 5 pm. I will be proudly
wearing my red HEAT t-shirt. If anyone cares to join, we can do that team pic for the site and talk about a swim on Saturday morning, heading to the carbo
feed, and share horror stories about how much money we already spent on IM merchandise. If no one else shows, I will assume that either everyone has other
plans, no one checked the forum, or I have previously offended every single member of HEAT. If I don't catch anyone before Sunday--See ya'll out on
the course--and best of luck!!!

Results so far:
John Pugmire: 10:49 (AWESOME!!!) Rob C. 11:49 (Great job - 1st I.M.) Miro B. 12:13 (New P.R. - way to go Miro) I also see Raf, Trish, Dave, Doug, (sorry i know i'm missing others) have made it out onto the run. Looks like Raf might have had issues on the 2nd loop of the bike. Everyone else looks pretty consistant. Great job everyone. Can't wait to hear the stories. |

Sounded like a very wet day! Tough conditions to do an IM but that's why they call them ironman competitions. From the results, there will be some stories
worth telling. Good and bad, let us know how it was out there. Congrats to all!
