I raced the first race of the Root 66 series today. I raced in the sport division which was 10.5 miles and was doing pretty well for thje first time out this year. I was on the second of two laps and was about a mile from the finish when I flatted and crashed as I was making the pass into 3rd place. I put in a tube and managed to not finish last, but was 18th out of approx. 25. I had already lost some air from my tubeless front tire and I suppose I was over- aggressively turning inside the other guy at the top of the last downhill. I should have played it more conservatively. It was a great day of racing anyways and I'm pretty happy with how the day went all in all. I saw Anthony there racing for Benidorm and he looked good.
