Sorry for the delay with my report from Cranberry...after the race I headed down to the Cape for a week of much needed rest and relaxation....and that's
exactly what I did...what a beautiful week I picked.

Anyway, What a great race it was and being in the team atmosphere made it even better. Aubrey it was great to meet you and way to beat up on Ken! Erica, way
to go for your first Olympic! That we were all racked together was really cool...as Mark and Ray said...it seemed...

Ray- you aren't supposed to stop and get compliments on the uniform while your racing. That'll slow ya down.

It was a great race and course. For me personally everything came together really well. It was different starting so late- 30 minutes after the first wave.
Women 34 and under were the 2nd to last wave (only athenas, clydsdales and relays were behind me), so I was chasing down women and some men who started 5, 10,
15 minutes ahead of me.

Funny/frustrating...

Thanks Ray.
I did see you crossing the line a couple of times...The groups ridng three abreast were frustrating
as were the guys riding right on the yellow line/weaving acrossed the lane.
But that's racin'....
Sometimes stuff just happens...Fortunately for me it was not an "A" race.
I too thought of you, Dave, and me coming into T-1 as a Winding trails deja vu.

OK, I'll try again. I had a great time at this race. I love being a part of this club and team; it's like high school cross country again only better.
After my dismal result at HealthNet I wanted to contribute as much as I could at this race, so I was happy to get a decent result. Even after arriving late and
being in the porta potty for the anthem and not getting to warm up. The team racking was fun and seemed really pro. A note of appreciation to John Pugmire-
Twice I was stopped...

I had a great time hanging around and listening to the music and stories post race. Wish i could have earned more points in my A.G. but as it turned out it was
a pretty competitive age group to be in on Sun. The drive home was kind of hard as traffic on I90 backed up 10 miles before the exit, but all in all a very
good day. The bonus was my bike was totally uneventfull!!! I think I had my best ride of the year (MPH wise). Now i'm resting up for the 5K race in
Hartford Thursday evening....

What a beautiful day for a race! The course on the roads was shaded and really nice even on a warm day. The swim involved some bottom crawling and
substantial full contact in the over 45 corral, but was otherwise nice. This has now become my favorite Olympic course. There were a lot of good performances
which led to our victory, and numbers do make a difference. The only question I had dealt with the scoring which appeared to be rather random. I did learn that

This was a great accomplishment and was truly a team effort. We edged out the team from Bay State Triathlon Club by a mere 4.5 points, indicating just how
important it was to have members show up and race regardless of ability. It all fits with the theme of the club--everyone is welcome, just come and have fun.
Sitting around eating from the great spread in the perfect weather with the team afterwards was a highlight of the day for me. I agree with Jamie on the
