Seven HEAT members ventured north to Ludlow MA for the third Firm Grand Prix Race of the season. With 273 finishers, this is a great season starting race and
is my favorite place to do my first Tri of the year. The race consists of a half mile swim straight out and back along a row of cones. The bike course is a
13.5 mile nice rolling rural ride rarely rough when rightly ridden. This is followed by a sunny 4 mile (3.95 more likely) flat run tour around downtown Ludlow.

I was about to do a write up, but glad you got to it. I didn't have nearly as much trouble in the swim as everyone else. The only problem I had was
anothe swimmer kept me from getting inside the bouy's and out of incoming traffic. I finally had to let him go by and swim over his legs to avoid the
oncoming swimmers, not sure on how he faired. The new uniforms look great by the way.

Thanks for the write up Dean. Welcome Diane and Kathleen. I hope you all will be joining the club for the state team competition at the Healthnet Olympic tri
on June 21. It looks like we have a strong team, but there will be plenty of competition.
