Veterans of the Batterson Park series will remember the summer that we raced across a virtual minefield on the bike course. It was so bad, that one week I picked up my bike and walked a couple hundred yards

I rode part of the course on my Sunday ride. Yes, I was wondering how they were going to run the race. They started last week installation of a sewage line on the side of the road used by the race. Steel plates in several places, and lots of loose dirt and uneven pavement. They could always head out West towards Hebron, there are some good country roads and big hills!

Just heard from another source that called the REC department and they were told the construction might go on for awhile. They were trying to come up with an alternate route (hopefully by July).

Bummer! We could hope they they are repaving that road by the lake with the very crappy shoulder.

Hello to all - I just called Pig Iron to confirm the 12th, and the lady on the phone mentioned that the first race is being pushed back until the beginning of July. Someone should confirm that, but she said that it was because of road construction, and that the web site will be updated in the next day or two. Just FYI.

OK...so, I probably didnt spell it right, but you know what I am talking about. I just called Pig Iron and the series starts this year on June 12, and as always will go every other thr. Must have USATRI membership and they will not have them at the race so you need to get them in advance. Races start at 6. They ask that you be there by 5:30. I am sure the kind folks at Pig Iron can answer any other questions.
