I know it was'nt me I came down with the bug on Fri. the day before Harriman. After spending all day Friday puking and on the toilet I decided to race
anyways. I made it through the swim with no major troubles, but the bike with all the hills just took too much out of my body I was forced to walk the hills
on the last loop and I recieved a free ride back into the transition area. I was disappointed that I could'nt continue and decided that I will race

Here's a course description as I see it. Breaking the course into three sections. Have fun and remember, no matter how you finish there is beer at the
finish line Be careful and stay alert. These are back country roads, sticks, sand, glass, and potholes are on the course. Not everyone is looking for bikers
that early in the day and if it is wet, there are manhole covers on most course. Hope this helps.

race a few times I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bit short, but probably 10 sec or less. Using the USTF mapping software it comes out a few hundredths
short. 1.47 for each loop plus .14 distance from start line to T1 in the field. Everyone runs the same distance.

Thanks for the info on the course. Those 5k run times from last year look pretty good. Nothing blazingly fast that I can see. Faster than me, but not out of
the ordinary. In 2006, I think this race was a qualifier for duathlon national championships (if it isnt every year? im not sure) and may have attracted some
faster runners. I plan on making up mucho time on the bike because Ill be lucky to pull out an 18 and change 1st 5k.

I did a course write up last year, I'll try to dig that up. You basically have a series of short climbs mixed with flats for the first 8-9 miles, during
which you gain 500 ft of elevation. Then your rewarded with a series of descents mixed with flats to South Glastonbury ~mile 15. Then it's rolling back
to transition. The big caution area this year is the turn off Thompson to Toll Gate. Winter was not kind to Toll Gate and your carrying a lot of momentum
after a long down hill on...
