			<description><![CDATA[ Another Santa&#39;s Run is in the books. I have done it every year except 95 (changed due to snow) since 92 and it is always a great way to cap the year&#39;s
racing. 1300 plus people, a Santa for the starter, a Christmas tree ornament for all finishers and a downhill start; what&#39;s not to like. I finished at
24:18 to keep it under 7:00 per mile but took time to talk to other runners this time. Not a lot of responses, I noticed. Don&#39;t you just hate it when some
numbskull is trying to... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Turkey Trot 5K ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ On Saturday I did the 1st annual Turkey Trot in Washington Depot put on by Mandy Braverman, and I think it was the flattest course she&#39;s ever designed.  It
was a nice relaxed event with about 50 people running along a hard packed dirt trail that ran next to the river in Steep Rock Preserve, and the course was a
simple 2.5K out to the turnaround and back so you could see how close you were to the people in front of you and behind you at the halfway point.  As for the

			<description><![CDATA[ December 12th is the day of the Roxbury marathon and if you have not run this event in the past I suggest that you give it a try. It takes place in Roxbury CT
(about 43 miles from Farmington) in the northwest hills of CT in Litchfield County.

The marathon course consists of 2 parts: 8.1 mile out-and-back loop and 5 loops each ~3.5 miles long. All loops start and end near the parking lot; so the

			<title><![CDATA[ Winter Triathlons ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Now that it&#39;s almost winter it&#39;s time to start thinking about winter triathlons.  They consist of a run, bike, and nordic/skate skiing, all on the
snow.  Last year I did both of the triathlons and they were both 5K run, 7.5K bike, and 6K ski.  There was also a duathlon that I missed that was a 4K run, 6K
ski, 4K run.  I used my mountain bike but a cross bike would work better and the run and bike courses were on groomed ski trails.  It was definitely

			<description><![CDATA[ I did the Amica Newport Marathon Sunday.  If you recall the weather was horrible.  Temps in the low 40&#39;s, howling wind, and driving rain.  I&#39;ve never
been in such horrible conditions in a race.  I had run Hartford the week before so my legs were pretty smoked.  I had this crazy notion to get in 2 marathons
