bike down to Hartford today and gave it a whirl.  Now see the funniest part is, is I don&#39;t know how to MT bike either.  I don&#39;t have shoes or anything

			<title><![CDATA[ Winter Triathlons ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Now that it&#39;s almost winter it&#39;s time to start thinking about winter triathlons.  They consist of a run, bike, and nordic/skate skiing, all on the
snow.  Last year I did both of the triathlons and they were both 5K run, 7.5K bike, and 6K ski.  There was also a duathlon that I missed that was a 4K run, 6K
ski, 4K run.  I used my mountain bike but a cross bike would work better and the run and bike courses were on groomed ski trails.  It was definitely

			<description><![CDATA[ I did the Amica Newport Marathon Sunday.  If you recall the weather was horrible.  Temps in the low 40&#39;s, howling wind, and driving rain.  I&#39;ve never
been in such horrible conditions in a race.  I had run Hartford the week before so my legs were pretty smoked.  I had this crazy notion to get in 2 marathons

			<description><![CDATA[ I just wanted to do a quick post regarding the MS Charity Ride in NYC this weekend.  For those of you who enjoy such events this one should be on the &quot;To
do&quot; list.  The ride had personal meaning for me because my dad had MS.  Riders have the option of doing a 30, 66 or 100 mile ride.  It starts at Pier 94
in NY (around 55th street on the West Side.)  They shut down the highway and 5,000 bikers get to ride around Manhattan traffic free including the Lincoln

			<description><![CDATA[ I raced this Half yesterday.  It was a return to my start at long course events.  I did this race in 2006 in a monsoon.  Weather is unpredicable out in
Montaulk.  It poured Saturday morning, then began to clear later than night.  I figured the temps would drop precipituously over night, so I bundled up for my

			<title><![CDATA[ Hammerfest Report ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ What a perfect day for a Tri! After a very cool set-up, the day warmed up quickly and was perfect for relaxing after the race. I counted 20 members racing as
well as lots of friends and family down to enjoy the day. We had some notable performances including 1st and 2nd overall by Bill Schumann and Gabe Jiran and
2nd overall by Kathryn Flodquist. We also had 12 medal in their age groups.

			<description><![CDATA[ So the day after Madison the women got their shot -- we had great weather -- some sections of the road were wet but the trails on the run were fairly dry
making for better terrain than last year.  We had some great results with 3 Heat women in the top 10 -- not sure how many racers we had exactly(you need some
uniforms girls), but congratulations to Katie, Nancy, Marcy, and Beryl.  A big thanks also to Dean, Erica, Kathyn, and Raf who volunteered for the event.
