CCSU Sunday Swim Practices

Beginning this Sunday, November 8, at 3:00-4:30, there will be swim practices at CCSU coached by Lauren Pallone.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there. Please post a reply if you will be attending so I can give Lauren a tenative head count.

Virtual New Zealand swim

Everybody is welcomed to join Dave "Car to the Bone" and me logging our swim miles in a virtual swim around the North Island of New Zealand.
Dave and I recently completed a circumnavigation of Cape Cod (Dave beat me by a county)

The way it works: You post your weekly mileage, and I keep track of it on a map--You get your very own push pin.
By the way--its a big *^%$ island.

HEAT Sunday swims - Planville YMCA with Coach Rich

Hi, fellow HEATsters! Many of you will recall that this is the time of the year when we start our super-fun Sunday group swims. We were not able to obtain lanes again at Cornerstone, but we have two other options available to us. CCSU is going to offer a Sunday swim for triathletes and masters' swimmers. Jamie is going to post info on this as soon as he hears back from Lauren, the coach in charge. The other option availabe to each of us is a Sunday HEAT group swim at the Plainville YMCA...

Sunday Swim Practices

We start the off season with a need for a swim committee, to get the swim program going. The swim program was hugely popular last year but Ken will not be able to organize it this year so we need someone else to step up to assure that it goes forward. Ken and others can provide the framework for the program and get the venue set up, but the club needs a person (group) to manage the program through the year. Rich is interested in...

Returning from a long bike ride over Avon Mountain via Talcot Notch on this hot August day, I decided to check out Batterson Pond which is just on the other side of the UConn Med Center (i had my goggles & cap in my "lunch" bag).
